Recap: Long Island Harmonica Club Feb 5th, 2020
The club bursted into February with a very commendable number of members attending.
The following 18 harmonica players flashed their ‘tin sandwiches’:

We didn’t get our usual venue – the downstairs auditorium. We had to “shoehorn” ourselves into the smaller meeting room across the hall.
We did the usual meet and greet at the beginning. Afterwards, we did the ‘rounds’ – everybody playing well and showing off what they’ve been working on.
Later on we broke up into clusters and groups to fill this small room with a cacophony of sounds. We had to blow the whistle around nine PM – nobody really wanted to leave.
Some highlights . . .
George Johanson after his long absence has recovered his excellent form.
Gerard Fitzgerald showed up after not coming around in a while, knocking out “The Key To The Highway” with guitar and rack.
Sheila Rindler has returned after missing a number of meetings.
Andy Dai brought in his saxophone, accompanying Alessandro’s chromatic rendition of “The Girl From Ipanema”.
All in all, a pretty good night. Time well spent.
See everybody in two weeks.
